WE ❤️ MANCHESTER

Hey my loves! I’ve just arrived home from a weekend in Manchester and ahh, I love that city so so much. We had to arrange a last minute hotel so I picked The Lowry, a short walk from the city centre. We arrived pretty late, much later than I was hoping because Josh was a little hungover from his football presentation the night before and he took some motivating to get moving! We went to the shops and had a bite to eat at Chiquito’s in the Printworks. Amazing food, definitely recommend it! I think we need a Mexican restaurant round where I live, I could eat it all the time! We also walked through St Ann’s square where the public have laid flowers for those who lost their lives at the MEN arena last week. I can’t really explain to you how it made me feel, I felt so proud how everyone had pulled together and stayed strong but I also felt this overwhelming feeling of sadness. It’s those dark times that make you realise how lucky you are to have the people you do in your life, each and every day. If we all loved and cared for each other a little more, the world would be a much nicer place. After visiting St Ann’s square, we rushed back to our hotel for a quick outfit change before the gig. I wore my black Levi shorts, black All Star Converse and a classic Levi t-shirt. I didn’t take a bag because we were advised not to unless it was necessary and I couldn’t really be bothered looking after a bag anyway! Josh booked an Uber and we got there as the Blossom’s started playing. We met some friends, Kristen and Matt and ended up queuing for 2 hours to get a bloody drink! Nightmare! We managed to bag wrist bands for the front of the gig too which was so much better. The vibe was incredible! Even though I didn’t know the words to every song, it was one of the best night’s I’ve ever had, besides getting someones wee in my hair and on my face. We ended up walking all the way back in to the city centre which took a good hour or two and stopped at a few places on the way. We called it a night at around 3am and I surprisingly woke up with no hangover, win win! Today we had brunch at the Cosy Club in the Corn Exchange, it was OK, not sure I’d go back for food but the drinks were good. I had to nip to Zara and &Other Stories but there wasn’t anything that stood out to me at all so I came home empty handed! Now I think I’m about ready for a light dinner and then an early night before work tomorrow morning. Why do weekend’s go too quick?! Speak again soon, L.
