The 1975

Gran set us up for the day with bacon and poached eggs on toast.

After a 2 hour drive to Newcastle, we headed in to the city centre and had dinner and cocktails at Turtle Bay, which offers Caribbean food. I wasn’t sure what to go for on the menu as I’m not particularly keen on BBQ sauce or Jerk flavouring so I went for the king prawn and flat bread starter with cheesy sweet potato fries and it was delicious – and also enough to fill me up for the evening!

The lads headed to the nearest pub to watch the Man Utd match and Hannah and myself went back to the apartment to glam ourselves up (and drink Gin and Tonic). We stayed at the Apple Apartments, which was convenient as it was in the centre near the shops and nightlife. On arrival there was food left in the fridge and the sink from the people who must’ve stayed previously – minging! And the noise throughout the night kept me awake until 4am which wasn’t great but I guess that’s what you get when you stay in the centre.

We were kind of late arriving to the gig as all 6 seater taxis were fully booked until gone 8 so we arrived a little later than planned. The 1975 were amazing and I forgot what the atmosphere of going to a live concert was really like. The last time I was at the Metro Arena, I came to see Beyonce’s Sasha Fierce tour which was unbelievably good.

The outfit I wore was pretty simple. I managed to pick up the jumper dress from Zara last week in Manchester city centre. I love it and I can’t wait to dress it more casually with some black skinny jeans and my Topshop boots. I wore my public desire heels that were super comfy and I managed to dance all night long – definitely my favourite pair of heels at the moment! I also wore my Zara embroidered clutch bag which went so well with my jumper dress as it had red embroidered roses and jewels for decoration and of course my all black Cluse mesh watch that I wear almost everyday.
